ABOUT ME
After years of doing a little bit of everything I have finally narrowed it down to one thing that encompasses it all - my name is Gabriela and I am a creative entrepreneur.
I kicked off my entrepreneurial journey early: selling school sandwiches at 6, desserts to a local restaurant at 8, and drafting my first DJ business plan at 12. By 16, my clothing was in a local boutique. After partly self-funded fashion studies, I launched two businesses at 22. Now, I'm working on my 4th and 5th ventures under my PTY (Ltd)., GLOW.
Juggling three jobs has been a constant in my life, taking whatever part-time cooking job I could get to fund the fashion dream, and working in the film industry in between. I've also worked in restaurants, PR & and marketing, event & production management, sustainability & more recently, qualified as a yoga teacher.
I have featured my designs at SA Menswear Weak & Week of Fashion, owned a boutique at the Lifestyle Centre on Kloof Street, set up a fine dining restaurant in Zanzibar, and developed the full menu for a restaurant on the Camps Bay Strip.
